How the hell do you change a headlight in a 2008-2009 Nissan Altima?

You've got to be kidding me - ther's no easy way to do it. Or at least it appears that way - major-poor design flaw. Then the bulb holder comes out and the new bulb is put in. I haven't had the drivers side go out yet (02 Altima) I'm sure they have'nt changed such a brilliant design?????

It is held on by 2 spring reatainers that you pry off. There you wll find the headlight bulb. You have to twist off the retaining circle or just twist the bulb and socket at the same time. Then unplug the bulb from the harness. Make sure you are paying close attention to the orentation of the bulbs, as they will only fit back in the assembly one way.

grab retaining ring, turn 1/3 turn counterclockwise, pull away from bulb.



grab bulb, pull gently (it may be a little stiff from age but it does not turn to release)



put new bulb in place, follow steps in reverse.
