I put a new headlight in my 91 chevy blazer truck but the plug seems loose and my light keeps going out. Do I need to put a new plug on and how hard is this to do by myself or should I take the truck to a repair shop?I put a new headlight in but the plug that goes in is loose and my light keeps going out, What do I do?its actually easy to do the shop will do it in 15 mins and charge u an hour if you do it your self make sure you use water tight connectors their connectors that have heat shrink tubing on them it keeps moisture from corroding your wires and giving you the same problem.I put a new headlight in but the plug that goes in is loose and my light keeps going out, What do I do?This is something anyone can do, go to a napa parts store or AC Delco dealer and tell them you want the replacement lite socket for an 9004 or 9005 bulb. this will come with the part that is loose on your truck and 18 inches of wire leads with solderless connectors. unplug your old socket, cut and splice in your new one and you are good to go. They make replacement sockets becouse of the amps that go through them and the high failure rate. this is as easy as changing oil!!!!I put a new headlight in but the plug that goes in is loose and my light keeps going out, What do I do?also you can try a simple fix. The spades on the light bulb are thin. on the plug are 2 or 3 female ends. one at a time you can stick a pic in there and pry the connectors tighter. Give it a shot save some cash. Worst case you may need to do it a secound time with a new plug from napa, carquest, autozone or what ever. most places like that will give you some help as far as how to do it.
good luck.I put a new headlight in but the plug that goes in is loose and my light keeps going out, What do I do?well you could try very carefully bending the pins out a little on the headlight to make it fit tighter in the connection
