How do you replace the headlight bulb on a renault clio 2004 model?

I have a renault clio 04 plate and i wondered how do you change the headlight bulb on the drivers side, mines stopped working and i dont want to take it to a mechanic just for that.How do you replace the headlight bulb on a renault clio 2004 model?You remove the rubber boot from the back of the headlamp.



The bulb is released by twisting it clockwise (looking at it from the back of the light unit).

Once released the bulb will need to be pulled quite firmly to release it.

The new bulb the needs to be plugged into the holder, with out touching the glass on the bulb.

Once it is plugged back in to the bulb holder, it is fitted back into the headlight by iserting it back in to position and twisting the bulb holder anti-clockwise.



They can be a bit tricky on these clio, especially if it has air con. You may find that you will keep scratching yourself on a black clip that holds a pipe in position on the inner wing.

This clip can carefully be removed if you need too.



Renault specify removal of the front bumper to replace the headlight bulb on this model of the clio, but it is possible to do without removing it.How do you replace the headlight bulb on a renault clio 2004 model?When it's parked?

They charged me $182 for doing that. I was so shocked. Then my brother told me to take my 2001 Toyota when the headlight bulb burned out to Auto Zone. The guys there are so helpful and will change it for you. Cost to me $13.23. I love Auto Zone. If you replace one bulb, I suggest you replace the same corresponding bulb on your passenger head light assembly as well.
