How to replace left headlight on a 2002 Dodge Neon?

I have a 02 Neon and the driver's side headlight needs to be replaced. Thanks to some smart engineers over at Dodge they put an air filter in the way. Does anyone know how I can get to the bulb. I tried taking off the two nuts that hold the headlight assembly in place but it didn't budge. How to replace left headlight on a 2002 Dodge Neon?DO NOT ATTEMPT TO REMOVE YOUR HEADLIGHT HOUSING COMPLETELY!

DRIVER'S SIDE:

Remove your air filter housing cap by unscrewing the screws until you feel a %26quot;pop.%26quot; Then there is a 3%26quot; diameter hose that is %26quot;L%26quot; shaped; pull straight up and remove that. This will give you enough room to access your light bulb.

PASSENGER SIDE:

You can reach this bulb with no interference. Just twist the closure ring counterclockwise and remove. How to replace left headlight on a 2002 Dodge Neon?By the way you might want to put a better headlight bulb in there but be sure that you don't just change the one side bec most of the time the other side blows out soon after all due to the headlight bulb current being unbalanced bec one is new and one is old the load on each bulb varies and stains the older bulb.

Hope that helps and best of luck.By the way on those vehicles it's best to have your own service manual for it.
