How do you clean inside a car headlight?

I have a 2002 Toyota Camry and the headlights have this filmy look to them. I've tried washing the outside, but the filmy part is on the inside. Do I have to take the headlight apart to clean it or are there easier ways short of buying a new headlight? It's not hindering my driving (although some would argue that point lol) it's just annoying me a bit.How do you clean inside a car headlight?sounds like oxidation my sisters car 02 camry had that i bought this special polish and a ball like buffer that you put on a high speed drill and left them like new.i purchased it from a matco tool dealer but i think autozone or kragens may have it.How do you clean inside a car headlight?you cannot pop out your head light and clean it you can go to the nearest automotive repair shop and ask for them to change your lights don't try to take it off by yourself you might break it let a professional do itHow do you clean inside a car headlight?go to auto value or to a auto parts place and they have a kit to wash your headlights. P.s. the inside of the headlight is very sensitive to any thing put in it. Don't let your friends tell you to wash out the headlight. if there is a problem it will be the outside not the inside. How do you clean inside a car headlight? If you're comfortable taking the whole headlight assembly off, you can remove the bulb (do not touch the glass with your fingers) and then clean inside the headlight by squirting water in the hole where the bulb used to be and shaking it all over the place. Like cleaning out a flower vase.

Let it dry for a long time.

Water can get inside headlight assemblies and make the film you seem to be talking about. Or the polycarbonate material might have degraded. Or maybe there's damage from sand and bugs and whatnot? How do you clean inside a car headlight? It probably is not on the inside of your lamp but is the plastic that lamp is made out of turning colors due to the sun and pollution, they get foggy and yellow. You can repair it while it is still on the vehicle but I recommend taping off around the hood and fender %26amp; bumper and putting some newspaper off of the tape to protect the rest of your car. You can get a kit from a local auto parts store that has a cleaner/polish as step one and then a sealer as step 2. Some body shops can do this also for a relatively inexpensive fee so it might be worth picking up the phone and calling a couple to see if they do it and how much it would be. It won't hurt your lamps if you leave it alone, it just doesn't produce as much light as when they where new.
