I have a 98 jeep cherokee, and the headlight control is a simple pull switch, that has to be manually turned on and off. Your Cherokee should have the %26quot;sentinel%26quot; feature. If you turn the ignition off, then push the headlight switch in the lights will stay on for about a minute then go off.
